Young Scot Awards (29th April 2013)

“Scotland’s biggest celebration of young people will take place on April 19th in Glasgow’s Crown Plaza hotel and Clyde Auditorium.  The star studded awards will showcase the finest young talent Scotland has to offer and will celebrate their outstanding achievements. The show shall be broadcast a few days later allowing you to experience a televised event!”

“Thanks to everybody who has helped me over the last 2 years. This nomination means a lot to me and I can’t thank you guys enough!”

The Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards is a annual awards ceremony celebrating achievements and talents within Scotland! I was nominated by my Dad, never expecting to get through, but we got the call a few weeks later saying I was in the final three!

The day started with a half day at school (yes!) and getting ready for the event. I was going with my family and grandparents. I was really excited to meet all the other finalists, VIP guests and having a really good night. The event started with a Mocktail reception in Glasgow’s Crown Plaza Hotel. We mingled, met a lots of amazing and inspiring people and got ready for dinner.

After our meal and grabbing some autographs we journeyed down the red carpet and into the venue, which was the iconic Armadillo concert hall. The event was being filmed for broadcast so we were all on our best behavior!

Unfortunately we didn’t come home with an award, but had a great night!! I met many amazing and inspiring people and all off the winners really deserved their awards! Here are some pictures from the night!-
